What Does Pain In The Left Leg Indicate?

I have pain in my left leg only. Generally occurs when I go to bed and can either be the whole leg, or sometimes the hip, knee, ankle only. Will last about 20 minutes then stops. I have had what feels like weakness in the hip where it felt like it was giving out on me. After we walk our dog at night, it is somewhat difficult to climb the stairs, thigh muscle feels weak. Any thoughts? My Dr. Told me to take 2 Aleve an hour before going to bed, helps somewhat.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Your symptoms seem to be related to arthritis. I suggest you continue with the anti-inflammatory medication that you are taking.

If you do not get better, then see a rheumatologist.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi
