What Does Pain In The Left Rib Towards The Side And Back Indicate?

Hi ,
I had the flu and bronchitis and now I am dealing with a pain in the left rib area toward the side and back of the ribs....I feel very fatigued and somewhat achey still. ( the flu lasted 2 weeks but ended 2 weeks ago) - The bronchitis lasted up until a week ago. Could I have costochondritis ?Or, I have osteopenia so I am wondering if I cracked a rib from coughing so much.

Hi
I would suggest you to do chest xray and s.amylase and s.lypase the above both the investigation will rule out if you have rib fracture pneumonia or pancreatitis.
Apply ice over affected part and stop eating sweet and oily food till you carry out above investigation.
Left side pain radiating to back suggest pancreatitis too.
