Hi, I am female 57 year old in very good health. For the last approximately 2 weeks I have had a pain in my left shoulder moving up and down the arm and I mean sometimes very severe pain! Settles sometimes in my muscles deltoid, biceps, elbow joint, wrist, shoulder I mean the works! I never had this before and its bothering me. What could this be and how do I get rid of it asap? Help
Hello. Did you injure your shoulder recently? It maybe due to inflammation around the shoulder joint.
Take NSAID drugs like Ibuprofen regularly for a week. Also allow your shoulder to get some rest. If the pain persist, you will have to get an xray to find out the underlying cause of the pain. Prednisone may also help with the pain.
I hope I have answered your question. Please let me know if you have any further concerns.
