What Does Pain In The Leg After A Knee Injury Indicate?
I got up out of a chair last night and I don t know if I twisted my knee. When I get up from sitting I have to make sure I don t put weight on that leg first. It felt like it popped a little the first time. If I put weight on the other leg first and raise my foot and let it lower slowly on its own it doesn t hurt. It doesn t hurt when I walk. Just when I try to put weight on that leg first. Any ideas? Suggestions on how to treat it?
As per my opinion if you are not overweight, just standing up from chair from sitting position will not affect knee joint much. It can be a sprain of muscle. You just take tablet diclofenac plus chlorzoxazone twelve hourly for two days. Apply hot fomentation over there. Don't bend your knee more than 90 degrees and use the western toilet for a week. If still the problem is not relieved consult orthopedic doctor and gets an x-ray done.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Hiren Hirpara
