What Does Pain In The Lower Abdomen After Urination Indicate?
I always have pain in bladder after urination, What I have came to know it is due to the spicy or oily food specially Beef and chicken (Spicy). When I take any pain killer (right now I am taking No-spa forte Tablets) my pain stops for some days. Please advise me what to do?
Hello dear, thank you for using HCM. The three most common causes of bladder pain are interstitial cystitis, urinary tract infection, and bladder cancer. Also some foods such acidic foods can increase the acid content of urine and make it burn when you urinate, citrus fruits such as lemons, orange, grapefruits and limes may irritate your bladder and cause pain Tomatoes, which are an acidic fruit, can also cause problems. Other foods or food-related products that can irritate the bladder include carbonated drinks, corn syrup, artificial sweeteners, chocolate, coffee and tea. If you relate the pain to some food you have to eliminate it from your diet. If pain persist do a urine sample for infection causes which are treated by antibiotics. If sample comes clear a cystoscopy ,an ultrasound or CT scan of the pelvis may be done to rule out other conditions. Hope my answer was helpful . Best regards, Dr Xhufka.
