I have had some lower abdominal pain (I attributed it to gas) for 2 days. This morning I notices that my left testicle was a little sore. This evening, I noticed that my left testicle is swollen to more that double its normal size an tender. What could this be?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I would like to know more like it is the testicle painful, or red, or warm when you touch it. If there are some of these symptoms, it can be an infection of testicle for which you will need treatment. If not, it makes me think about hydrocele. But the fast progression it is not a good sign, it looks dangerous. So it is better for you to meet a doctor who can see and follow your case.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Eniola Memishahi
