What Does Pain In The Lower Abdomen On The Left Side Indicate?

I m having pain in my lower left side of my abdomen. It hurts to push on it and even lay on my stomach. Could this be diverticulitis. I did have a colonoscopy about 4 months ago and the doctor did say I have diverticulosis, which at the age of 66 I believe is quite common although I have never had any symptoms. Michele I though WebMD was free. I guess not and I m not going to pay for a written response to a question
