What Does Pain In The Lower Abdomen On The Right Side Indicate?
I have been experiencing a dull ache in the lower right abdomen over the last 4 to 6 weeks. Feel it mostly when getting out of bed, i.e. going from prone to up right. Possible liver or kidney issue?? Maybe just muscles??? How to tell. Am in generally good health for 70 years old.
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
Through online consultation abdominal problems are difficult to sort out without examination. By doing an abdominal examination, we can at least palpate liver and kidney and localize where the pain could be coming from.
If you can get an ultrasound abdomen done then also pathology could be found out. May be a gallbladder or kidney stones can be picked up. If it’s normal may be a musculoskeletal pain which can get better with painkillers used commonly.
Hope you get back to us with reports. Hope this information helps you sort out your problems. If you feel it’s helpful then kindly give me a user thank vote. Happy Health! Regards, Dr. Archana
