What Does Pain In The Neck And Lower Back Indicate?
i have been having pain in my neck and lower back that shoots down both of my legs , i have had an MRI done and i have bullging and herniated disc in my neck and lover back the pain hurts so bad it wakes me out of my sleep, i have had codisone shots and epidural shots and they do not help. The only thing that gives me a little help is pain meds and they only last for a couple of hrs. Thats just coving up the problem
you have compression of nerver roots in your cervical region and lumbar region that is why the shooting pain pain is the initial symptom and it can get worse, to avoid it you need to see a neurosurgeon as soon as possible because you can develop weakness in your hands and legs ideally in your case a decompression surgery is advocated
you can start with tab neurobion once in the morning and tab gabapentin 75 mg once at night
but definitive treatment is decompression surgery it has good outcome and you will be relieved from your pain and other neurological deficits
plz feel free to revert back with follow up questions
regards
Dr Raza Ali
