What Does Pain In The Neck Indicate?

I have had a sore neck, the pain moves from place to place. Sore spot below my adams apple some time. My blood test today that I have a inflammation, I was put on predizonen 20 mg for 5 days. It feels like a small bump on my thyroid area. does this always mean cancer?

Cancer would be the least likely cause for most symptoms. Inflammation can be due to infection, trauma, allergies etc.

Cancer is one of many causes of inflammation.

In addition to the prednisolone, you may need an anti inflammatory pain medication such as naproxen or ibuprofen
