What Does Pain In The Ribcage And Neck After An Injury Indicate?
Thursday night I slipped on my truck rail on the ice and fell backwards, trying to protect my neck and my head bounced off the cement driveway. Saw stars. G of t up and went into the house. I was pretty shaky. It felt. Like electricity was going throughout my body. How do I know if I should go to media Are or Mash ? I thought of my neck first to protect because I have a plate in my neck from c4-c7. , and have had 5 cervical surgeries. Today I ve felt dopey and now tonite my ribs, neck are becoming more painful as time goes by. The area where my head slammed on the ground is still red and very sore. Would it be best to get checked out tomorrow or just take it easy at home? (I m already on pain meds for my chronic condition)
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
It would be best to be assessed by your doctor or emergency service especially if you are feeling drowsy. It is possible that you may have only minor soft tissue damage to the ribs and scalp but it would be best to be examined to determine if this is the case.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
