What Does Pain In The Right Lower Leg Indicate?

Hi, I had a strange thing happen when I awoke in the middle of the night. I experienced pain in my right lower leg and my foot felt like it seized up and I could not move my foot at all. I would say almost a charlie horse, but my entire right foot turned to an angle and I could not move it for several minutes. The pain went away in my leg and my foot went back to normal.

Hello,

It may be intermittent claudication which might be happening due to small thrombi in venous part of the leg. Or it could be due to the hamper of circulation to that limb which can be causing you that pain or it can be due to nerve compression due to bad posture while sleep. If it's claudication or hampering of circulation use leg compression stockings which will help you in the long run and subside all your symptoms. If its bad posture you need to take care of it while sleeping or it will get subsided soon.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Archana
