Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have had pain in my right shoulder got about 6 days. It seems to be getting worse. There was no injury. It hurts to raise my arm to the side but not in front. Also hurts to twist and reach behind me. It does not hurt to sleep in it. Does this sound like something I need to seek medical attention for or should I just rest it with ice and take tylenol?

General & Family Physician, Dr. Nishad BN's Response
Hello,
Do you have any trauma in past or heavy weight lifting or excessive usage of that shoulder? If you don't have such history, then it can be frozen shoulder.
In such cases, NSAIDs, physiotherapy and exercises will be helpful. A consultation with orthopedician is well appreciated.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Nishad BN
