What Does Pain In The Right Thigh Indicate?
83 yr old male presenting with pain in the upper inner right thigh. Also in the area where he says this pain originally started is not only painful but it s also sore, red and feverous. Dr. Has told him it s a saiatic pinched nerve??? He was treated with physical therapy for 1week and the pain is still at a 10. What other possibilities could it be???

This is unlikely to be sciatica.
This sounds more like and abscess or a hernia.
I recommend :
-a general surgeon consult right away
-a CT scan of the area.
-blood tests (complete blood count, kidney and liver function tests, blood glucose panel)
