Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Does Pain In The Shoulder And Upper Arm Indicate?
I am a 71 year old male and have developed shoulder and upper arm pain in the past several months. The discomfort wanders through my shoulder blades and lower neck. It is at its worst when I am in bed but now is more troublesome during the day as well. No stretching movements or exercises seem to offer relief.
As your shoulder pain and arm pain is since last several months, so definitely is not related to the cardiac issue. I will suggest you an x-ray of the shoulder joint and upper limb AP lateral and do orthopedician consultation.
At present, you can take the tablet Sumo twice a day. I think you have to do a complete blood count test and rheumatoid arthritis (RA) Profile after consultation. You may require physiotherapy support after consultation.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Shyam B. Kale
