General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Thanks for your query on HCM

"As"per your clinical history is concerned please follow like this -

1)Do a clinical examination by your treating Doctor[rheumatologist] and do few investigations to confirm Lupus [CBC with differential, ESR, Kidney & liver function test, Urine RE/ME, Antinuclear antibody test and ECHO]

2)Do take prescribed medications as per clinical findings only.

Do follow lifestyle modifications like this -

1)See your doctor in timely. Having timely checkups instead of only seeing your doctor when your symptoms worsen may help your doctor prevent flare-ups, and can be useful in addressing routine health concerns, such as stress, diet and exercise that can be helpful in preventing lupus complications.

2)Get adequate rest. Get plenty of sleep at night and naps or breaks during the day as needed.

3)Try to wear protective clothing such as a hat, long-sleeved shirt and long pants and use sunscreens with a sun protection factor (SPF) of at least 55 every time you go outside.

4)Get regular exercise. Exercise can help you recover from a flare, reduce your risk of cardiac complications, help fight depression and promote general well-being.

5)Don't smoke. Smoking increases your risk of cardiovascular disease and can worsen the effects of lupus on your heart and blood vessels.

6)Try to eat a healthy diet. A healthy diet emphasizes fruits, vegetables and whole grains. Sometimes you may have dietary restrictions, especially if you have high blood pressure, kidney damage or gastrointestinal problems.

Hope that helps
