What Does Pain In The Shoulders Indicate?

My husband s shoulder began hurting after a quick movement last Thursday. The pain has slowly gotten worse, and is even tender to the touch, and on Saturday he began running a low grade fever. This morning, Monday, he realized that there was a red oval red swollen spot near his bicep, about 21/2 inches wide and 31/2 inches high. What does it sound like to you? He did receive antibiotics from the doctor, but the doctor never really said what he thought it was.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Please go for an MRI shoulder.
This can be a tendon rupture or dissection causing pain fever and Hemorrhage.
See a orthopedics surgeon.

Hope I have answered your query.
