What Does Pain In The Testicles Indicate?

Two things....in the night a couple of weeks ago, boxer shorts constricted the area of my testicles and I can t really remember which one. But then I sustained a hit right in the middle of my zipper line by a fast baseball. I had not paid it a whole lot of attention, but notice now that my left testicle is hanging down lower and has a kind of a dull throb to it. I am going to see a urologist on Wednesday, but now am nervous about whether something is really wrong or not. email me at YYYY@YYYY is my mother s email address

Hello and welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

If you have severe pain it is better to go for an ultrasound scan to look for any trauma related problems like minor bleed or twisting of the cord.
As of now you can take simple analgesics like ibuprofen or diclofenac for pain relief.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
