Hello,

Short answer: It is possible that Moxikind medicine is not dominating the infection.

Detailed answer: You seem to have some kind of tonsillitis that is infection of the lymphoid tissue in your throat. Your doctor has done the right thing in prescribing you Moxikind (Amoxicillin + Clavulanic Acid) as it is very effective against the common bacteria causing such infections.

However, it is possible for the infection to progress even though you are still receiving a cure, and this means that Moxikind could not be the most appropriate medication in your case.

Therefore, you need to see your doctor again in order to re-evaluate your health condition and change the antibiotic in order to fit your situation. In many cases tonsillitis is more severe as it looks and this requires more aggressive therapy, through muscular and/or intravenous injections.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ervin Toçi
