General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi, sorry to hear about your condition. Pain in the upper abdomen is either related to heart or gastro intestinal tract.
Symptoms related to heart are heavy chest, pain upper abdomen or chest radiating towards shoulder or left hand, profuse sweating, breathless Ness, discomfort...however not everyone experiences all the symptoms.
Symptoms due to acidity or gastritis are pain and burning sensation upper abdomen, nausea, vomiting.
It is always better to go to ER for such kind of pain without ignoring and get one ECG done to rule out any Cardiac pathology. If it is acidity or gastritis pain, taking Antacid tablet, avoiding spicy oily diet and drinking plenty of oral fluids will help the condition.
Get well soon.
