Yes my hubby upper for arm is very painful n hard to touch it started 3 days ago getting worse but about 6 hr Ago he started with a large warm red spot that is getting bigger should we be concerned n would u have an idea what it might be Thanks
Pain with spreading reddish skin rash is more suggestive of cellulitis (skin infection). So, it is better to consult dermatologist and get done clinical examination of rash.
He will need oral antibiotics, topical antibiotic cream for local application and other supportive drugs like painkiller and anti-inflammatory drugs.
He may need surgical I and D (incision and drainage), if not improved by above conservative treatment.
