What Does Pain In The Upper Back And Abdomen Indicate?
Hi, I ve been having waves of pain in my upper back and sometimes in my upper stomach as well, I first thought this may be indigestion but now I m not sure? The waves of pain are quite frequent, they feel like I have gas and my stomach needs to rumble but just doesn t, the pain in my back happens the same time, lasts a couple of second and sometimes makes me wince! Any idea on what this could be?
"As"per your clinical history is concerned there are many pathological disorder present for such type of symptoms so in my opinion first rule out gallstones by doing an ultrasound and a clinical examination by your Doctor.
You can take few preventive steps like this -
1)Don't skip meals. Try to stick to your usual mealtimes each day. Skipping meals or fasting can increase the risk of gallstones.
2)Try to Lose weight slowly. If you need to lose weight, go-slow. Aim to lose 1 pound a week. Maintain a healthy weight. Obesity and being overweight increase the risk of gallstones.
Hope that helps
