What Does Pain On The Left Side Of The Chest Indicate?

Saturday I had a sudden pain in my left side. By my lung not right under my arm more by the bottom of my breast and back. Still very tender to the touch. Not having trouble breathing. But very painful to the touch. Thursday I had a really bad pain in my upper left leg. Could hardly walk. Almost went to the ER.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Kindly get an X-ray done to see if there is any problem with your lungs. Or I feel you have more of costochondritis than lung pathology. Because you say tender meaning more of musculoskeletal pathology is there comparatively.

For now, you can take any anti-inflammatory or analgesic medication. But kindly get one X-ray Chest PA View done and also EKG to rule out any cardiac condition. If both are normal then any analgesic would help you treat costochondritis.

Hope this information helps you sort out your problems. If you feel it’s helpful then kindly give me a user thank vote.
Happy Health!
Regards,
Dr. Archana
