What Does Pain On The Left Side Of The Navel Indicate?

I am a 59 year old woman, I have had a dull ache on my left side about three inches down from my belly button, on my left side for about 2 days no..... Not a sharp pain, but something that hasn t been there before. I have already had an appendectomy and a robotic hysterectomy (so no appendix problem, or other women problem type things ..... I m not sure what s on my left side ????? Any idea ??

Hi,

At the point on left, you have denoted. You have left ovary (if not removed with a uterus), left ureter, which can have inflammation, stone to cause pain, descending colon?

May give pain in digestive problems (ranging from constipation to irritable bowel syndrome), nerve root pressure on left side of the lumbar spine can cause it or adhesions due to previous surgery can lead such pain.

You need detailed examination &needful investigations to find the cause followed by specific treatment.

Please consult your family physician for primary assessment followed by referral to expert as &if indicated.
