What Does Pain Under The Left Breast Indicate?

Starting on Friday I have a pain under my left breast in the chest area, the pain has now travels to my back under my shoulder blade what could be the cause? I also just got my blood results back and I have a 171.4 LDL Cholesterol should I make a follow up apt with my doctor?

Hello,

Yes, since you are saying you have radiating pain from breast to the left shoulder, we need to think of various causes which will be distinguished to come to conclusion. These kinds of pain can be due to cardiac or gastrointestinal. If you have fatigue, weakness, and constricting type of pain, then its better to get electrocardiography (ECG) and done. If its abnormal get further testing for anginal pain. If you severe gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), then also you do have such pain mimicking angina so you can try gastric tablets to subside your acidity and see. Let me know the results of your work up.
