Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Does Pain Under The Ribcage On The Left Side Indicate?
I have a pain lower left kind of under the rib cage. Sharp at times and localized but spreading. Can t tell if its related to digestive system or a part of my current back pain. I know that there is pain caused by nerves coming from my back, but I don t think this from that.
You have injured your big toe and possibly have a fracture. The purple line denotes blood collection inside, a hematoma. The fact that it is still painful 2 weeks after the injury, and there is a hematoma, you must get the foot and toe X-ray done anterior-posterior, lateral, and oblique view. Rest to the toe is very important.
Please do consult a Podiatric surgeon or an orthopedic surgeon who can see the X-ray, see if there is a fracture and advise you on the management. The treatment will depend on the extent of bone injury if present. Antibiotics may be required to prevent infection.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Abed Tahrawi
