Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I held a sneeze yesterday and felt a pop in my throat on the right side. It almost instantly became sore and was sore through today but somewhat relieved with ibuprofen. This afternoon I was leaning my head back drinking and as I swallowed I felt another strong pop in my throats except this time it was just above my Adam s apple. Now it s sore in eh middle of the throats behind the Adam s apple and it makes it hurt to swallow. Any idea what his could be?
I had gone through your question I can understand your concern about your throat issue.
As per your history and symptoms it seems to be throat infection.
You need to have warm saline Gargles or chlorhexidene gargles two to three times daily.
If the dysphagia or pain during swallowing continues and there is associated cough and feverish episodes, you need to take antibiotics like Azithromycin once a day in consultation with your doctor, provided you are not having any allergic reaction or other systemic disease associated.
Hope my answer will help you and visit us back if you have any further questions to be answered.
Regards Dr Muzaffer Hussain Parray.
