What Does Painful Urination Indicate?

In late December I believe I had a bladder, or uti infection. It was painful to urinate, and very frequent, but where I live there is not a walk in clinic or anything like that on a Saturday. I had a z pac so I started taking it. The pain and frequency went away but there was an odor that hasn t left. I have no symptoms accept the odor. Should I see a doctor? I am diabetic, and take farxiga as one of the medications for my diabetes.

Hello,

You need to take an antibiotic full course to treat the UTI (Urinary tract infection) infection because you say odor and is it foul smelling? If so, then it says there is an infection. If it is fishy odor also then infection might be there.

Since you are diabetic, recurrent genital infection is most common and you will get it when you have not maintained vaginal hygiene.

Use V wash, to maintain it after every urination. You can use Citralka syrup to restore vaginal ph. can be taken 6-8 times with water.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Archana
