Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have had severe left pelvic pain for a week and it has not gone away. I cannot stand on my left leg, and am using crutches. I have gone to several doctors and some have said it is a pulled muscle while another doctor said it was a an ovarian cyst. My main doctor ruled the ovarian cyst out. I went to an orthopaedic doctor yesterday and he does not know what it is.
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
It may be a joint problem like arthritis or a capsule problem like glenoid labrum tear. It may also be a muscle problem like the muscle tear or spasm etcetera.
Until examination is done, it is difficult to say what it is. Take an MRI of a hip joint, get thyroid profile, and check cholesterol sickle cell status etcetera.
Please consult your orthopedician as he will examine and treat you accordingly.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Penchila Prasad Kandikattu
