What Does Persistent Numbness In Arms And Face Post A Mosquito Bite Suggest?
I got a mosquito bite on the top of my right hand right at a vein. I instantly felt sharp pain shooting up my arm and 12 hrs later my arm still feels numb and the right side of my face also. the mosquito never leave marks on the bite area only for 15 minutes or so I get like a large hive then it all dissapears but i never feel numb after.
As per my clinical experience, the numbness in arms with shooting pain numbness face indicates neuralgia effect through some sort of bug bite. It would be a subset of tissue reaction to poisonous content of the bug bite rather than mosquito bite. My guidelines at present: - Local application of ice over the sore part of arm - Plenty of liquids - Tablet ibuprofen with acetaminophen after meals if no history of drug sensitivity for 3 times a day after meals - Control of blood sugar - Cover arms and body with clean, cotton clothes
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
