What Does Pityriasis Lichenoides Chronica Evolving In Mycosis Fungoides Mean?
My 6 year old daughter has pityrias lichenoides et varioliformis acuta turning into pityriasis lichenoides chronica with erythema dyschromicum perstans like lesions evolving into Mycosis Fungoides Stage IB. A form of cutanious T cell lymphoma. What does this mean.
Hello and welcome to HCM, The description posted by you suggests that your daughter is suffering from a primary skin disease which is slowly evolving into a skin or cutaneous lymphoma called Mycosis fungoides. Mycosis fungoides is a T-cell lymphoma with with grave prognosis. You need to stay in touch with your dermatologist for management of the current skin condition called pityrias lichenoides. Mycosis fungoides is managed with chemotherapy but has poor prognosis.
