Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I went to a doctor for a checkup a couple days ago. My ear have been acting weird. There was a popping sound which have been bothering me. The doctor found a huge earwax in my right ear. And he said that there was no prefortation. but the problem still persist.
Understanding your concern. A per your query you have symptoms of popping sound in the ear which seems to be due to infection of ear canal due to wax accumulation, eustachian tube dysfunction and recurring otitis media.
Need not to worry. I would suggest you to
- Avoid touching your ear with any sharp object.
- Gently rinse ear using a bulb syringe and warm saline solution to get it cleaned.
- Give warm compresses to ear 2-3 times a day.
- Use eardrops which contains antibiotics and prevent excessive use of mobile phone.
I would suggest you to visit ENT specialist once and get complete examination done. You should start treatment after proper prescription and doctor may perform cleansing of ear.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
