Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,

Can you mention his symptoms, and why a test was ordered? Positive test indicates partially digested sugars in stool, which can happen in lactose intolerance or following diarrhea. Depending on the situation, various degrees of lactose free diet might help. Kindly discuss with your pediatrician or get back with details.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Muhammed Aslam T. K., Pediatrician
