What Does Posterior Capsular Laxity On An MRI Report Indicate?
My MRI shows posterior capsular laxity and posterior synovial debris along with thickening of the posterior band of the IGL and possible tear. Possible tending patchy involving the subscapularis tendon. Degenerative findings are noted related to the lesser tuberosity. What does this mean?
1.The report suggest there are signal changes seen in the IGL which suggest there is a tear / partial strain in the tendon. 2.This features are seen in case of trauma, heavy weight abuse, as degenerative changes. 3.There are posterior synovial debris - suggest effusion or infective changes seen in the joint space. 4.A synovial fluid cytology / biochemistry will give the nature of the infection involving the joint space. 5.There are degenerative changes seen in the bones - which are seen as a age related changes / hard working individuals / excessive usage.
Good luck. Hope i have answered your query, any thing to ask ? do not hesitate to ask. http://doctor.healthcaremagic.com/doctors/dr-ganesh/62888
