I m a 59 year old married male who in the last two days noticed a significant amount of red blood specks in my urine . It also feels uncomfortably tender in that area . My father had to have his prostrate shaved down iwhen he was in his late 70 s. I m athletic , don t smoke, don t drink, do hundreds of push-ups and sit ups a day . I am 5 5 weigh 130 lbs take a teaspoon of fish oil and a teaspoon of apple-cider vinegar daily . I m a UPS driver who works a very physical 54 hour week. I drink lots of water and like to consume lots of fruit s and vegetables. I also like to eat salmon and chicken usually baked. Breakfast is usually oatmeal blueberries bananas and OJ. My vice is I usually consume two garlic bagels a day. My biggest problem is that I only sleep about 5 hours a night because I m so busy taking care of my family. I have an autistic son. I m very religious and pray and learn about two hours a day. Based on my lifestyle , what do you suspect my health problem is ?
Hi. My suspicion is it could be a small kidney stone that you passed. This can scratch the urethra as it goes through and cause some bleeding. It is however important to go for a checkup with your doctor to exclude bilharzia if you have been travelling to endemic areas, other urinary tract infections.Hope that answers your question.
