What Does Presence Of Hypoechoic Nodules And An Ill Defined Area In The Upper Outer Quadrant Of The Left Breast In An Ultrasound Indicate?
Hi, I made days ago an ultrasound and a mammography but the ultrasound showed that I have a 8×10mm hypoechoic and ill defined area in the upper outer quadrant of the left breast so now I have to make an mri but the main question is:does the 8×10mm issue means that I might have breast cancer?
It is unlikely a breast cancer. Most probably it could be a benign (non-cancerous) swelling. A fine needle biopsy is required in case of diagnostic confusion.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
