What Does Presence Of Lump In The Breasts Indicate?
I am 34 years old and have a lump formation in the middle of my breast. I am currently feeding my first baby who is of four weeks now. I never had this lump before delivery. Noticed it 10 days back and have been taking hot compres breast feeding and massaging the breast.. the best has now become softer however the lump in the middle still exists.. have been advised zifi CV 200 and emanzen d.. looking for second opinion
I understand your concern. Your symptoms could be due to milk-retention cysts, engorged breast, Inflammation due to plugged ducts or mastitis.
Clogged, blocked, or plugged ducts:
- Difficulty in drainage of milk cause swelling, inflammation and abscess formation.
Breast examination and USG scan will help in diagnosis. You are on correct treatment. Zifi CV 200 prevent infection. Emanzen D will help to reduce inflammation and pain. Continue to apply hot compression and breast massaging. If it does not resolve, then it should be drained. Cyst will disappear once you stop breast feeding.
Hope this may help you. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Best regards, Dr. Sagar
