What Does Pressure In The Ears Indicate?

I have pressure in my ears and neck area when I lie down. Sort of feels like someone is squeezing me. I have a history of thyroid modules but no other issues with my thyroid. I saw my PCP to have my ears checked and he said they looked great. What else could be causing this feeling?

Hi Dear,

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of pressure in ears which seems to be due to ear infection , increase in blood pressure and eustachian tube disorder which leads to pressure build up in ears.

Need not to worry. I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist for proper diagnosis and treatment. Doctor may order audiometry testing and low and high pitched intensity testing. Avoid touching and pricking it with sharp object. Doctor may prescribe drug like eperisone and sedatives. For now take proper rest and drink green tea thrice a day. Maintain proper cleanliness of ears.

Hope your concern has been resolved.

Get Well Soon.

Best Wishes,
