What Does Pressure In The Nose Indicate?

Hello, I have had pressure in my nose for the last 2 days and today (the first time ever) I got a heavy nose bleed with a large blood clot. Since then, I have had the pressure more so and right at the top of my nose (between my eyes) it keeps popping. It s quite painful, makes my eyes water. Can you please help with this? I also have the below if this links at all with the above... Bad cough (Only at night) Constant headache Bad throat (Lump feeling) No taste or smell Sickness Thank you in advance. Kelsie.

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have pressure in the nose . Well the symptoms you mention in query pointing towards severe sinus infection . But symptoms can also occur due to nasal polyp. I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist for proper diagnosis without any delay to prevent the further complication . Doctor may order CT scan x-ray and nasal endoscopy . Doctor may prescribe antibiotics ( amoxicillin or penicillin ) at least for 10 days along with decongestant and expectorant . Doctor may also recommend surgery to remove polyp. For now take steam thrice a day to relieve the congestion and apply warm compresses on face and take anti allergic like bendryl .
