What Does "3-4/hpf Epithelial Cells Found In Urine" Indicate?
1.in routine urine test the epithelial cells found is 3-4/hpf. what does thsi mean. 2. Deposits found with specific gravity 1020. what does thsi mean. 3.Protein- faint trace found. what does thsi mean? 4.Microrganisim present = + + , what does thsi mean? My age is 29 year. preganant . shall be completing 20 weeks in next 3 days.
Dear friend, Epithelial cells from the normal lining of mucosal surface of urinary tract. 0-4?hpf is normal value. Specific gravity is the ratio of the density of your urine to the density of water(for water, it would be 1.000). Ideally, urine specific gravity results fall between 1.002 and 1.030 if your kidneys are functioning at a normal level. Protein in urine indicates renal function is compromised. In pregnancy it is helpful to rule out pre-eclampsia. Micro-organism in urine indicates a urinary tract infection, which is more common in pregnancy and you should take antibiotics for it, after consulting your gynaecologist.
