What Does "actively Motile-20% And Pus Cells-1-2" In Semen Analysis Suggest?
Dear Doctor
my semen test report is below please tel me my report is ok or some problem here?
Volume : 2.0 ml
reaction (pH) : alkaline
viscosity : Normal
sperm count : 40 million/ml
motility :
active : 20%
sluggish : 30%
non motile : 50%
Morphology : Normal - 70 -75%
RBcs : absent
PUB cells : 1-2 /HPF
Sperm count is normal but number of motile sperms is less than normal. Motile sperms should be at least 50% normally. Men with low sperm motility might have difficulties in achieving a pregnancy but not impossible.
Stress, anxiety, recent illness, surgery or fever, improper eating habits and sleeping habits, junk food, smoking, tobacco consumption, alcohol, hot tubs or hot sauna baths etc contribute to decreased sperm motility. If any of these are present try to avoid them.
Hello Your report shows reduced motility of sperms. Cause could be presence of pus cells. Consult a gynaecologist for infection in your wife's vagina and you both take antibiotics Dr Saatiish Jhuntrraa
