What Does "enlargement Of Right Lobe Of Thyroid" On USG Suggest?
I have been asked for thyroid ultrasound and findings are sugestive of early enlargement of the RT lobe of the thyroid with coarse parenchyma with moderate flow in the gland suggestive of parenchymal disease with normal nek vessel study. wht does it mean
Hello, I read carefully your report. The most probable cause of the enlargement of the thyroid gland are thyroiditis of autoimmune origin. Even though in most of the cases they are bilateral (it means that involve both lobes of the thyroid gland). You should see an endocrinologist and he will ask for some hormonal results to see the function of the gland. Than depending on the result (rather if it is under or over active thyroid) the treatment will be started. Hope i have clarified your queries. Best wishes,, Dr.Mirjeta
