What Does "hcv Ab And Hbv Surface Antigen-both Non Reactive" Suggest?
Dr i am 23 years old male Weight 80kg height 175 did an hcv ab turned out 0.22 which is non reactive accourding to the ref range. I did the same test 3 month ago and turned out negetive. I also did an hbv surface antigen turned out 0.18 also non reactive acc to ref range. I was vaccinated to hbv and took my last booster 4 years ago I am a house officer so i am worried do i have an hcv or hbv infection????
Nothing to worry. anti HCV negative and HBsAg negative means that you have NOT been infected by HBV or HCV. you are NOT suffering from either of HepB or HepC. you may check your antiHBV antibody titer 6 to 8 weeks after your last shot of HBV vaccination. this will reflect your immunity against HBV.
wish you good health. further queries are welcomed.
