What Does "motility Rapid Type 26%" On Semen Analysis Suggest?

Hi,
I just now had semen analysis taken, in my report I have the following:

Time Interval: 1:10 hrs: mins
Normal forms 5%
volume 2mls(>2mls)
sperm concentration 161 million/ml(>20million/ml)
total sperm number 322 million/per ejaculate(>40 million/per ejaculate)
motility rapid type 26% (either >25% rapid type
motility or > 50% rapid + motility
sluggish type 32% sluggish type motility)

Could you please let me know how to analyse this report i.e either this normal or not?

Thanks

Hi,

I believe you have a normal semen analysis result and you have nothing to be worried about. Although it is better to get a second semen analysis after three months from the first one to be really sure everything is okay.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Manuel C See IV, Urologist
