What Does "punctuate Nonobstructing Stone Calculus" Mean?

I have have 19 ureterscopy with stent placement under general anesthesia over the past 6 years. Last Sunday my cat scan shows a punctuate nonobstructing stone calculus in the inferior pole calyx of the right kidney. Why do they say this shouldn't hurt you, when in fact the pain and nausea has been horrible for 8 days nows. If I wasn't in pain I wouldn't have went to the ER.

Welcome to health care magic.

1.The report suggest there is a calculus seen in the inferior pole of the right kidney.
2.That calculus is seen non obstructive - suggest there is no disturbance to the urine out flow.
3.Usually it is symptomatic when there is obstruction of the path by the stone / calculus.
4.You may be symptomatic due to some other cause - but the present calculus is not the reason for the pain.
5.The other possible cause could be bowel pathologies, acute gastroenteritis - and present findings can be incidental.

Good luck.
Hope i have answered your query,
any thing to ask ? do not hesitate to ask.
