What Does "right Ovary Anechoic" In Ultrasound Report Mean?

Ultrasound report finding cyst in right ovary anechoic with through transmission. measures 1.6cm. Left ovary sucentimenter hypoechoic follicle is noted no free fluid detected. What does this mean history of heavy periods 8 days, endometriosis, pelvic pain

Thanks for writing to HCM

You have normal ovarian follicle.
There is a normal follicular cyst noted in right ovary measuring 1.6cm.
Sub centimeter hypoechoic follicle in left ovary is also normal finding.
Pelvic pain is most likely due to endometriosis.
Treatment of endometriosis is both conservative and surgical depending upon many things like patient's age,severity of pain etc.You should consult your gynecologist.
