What Does "substantial Improvement" For Someone With Liver Cirrhosis Mean?
I have cirrhosis of the liver and have been under the care of a gastroenterologst/hepatoligst for the past 20 months. I had an esophageal varices bleed last summer, and have had 3 endoscopies with banding since. The last endoscopy was yesterday and the varices were reported as "trivial" so no banding was necessary. he said this was due to "substantial improvement" in my liver. What does that mean? Also, I am a 52 year old woman with healthy history before liver cirrhosis diagnosis 20 months ago.
Here liver improvement noted ...So there might be improvement in liver profile report and portal pressure might come down with clinical improvement .....
The perment treatment for liver cirrhosis is transplantation if possible... For reducing portal pressure TIPSS like non invasive procedure can be done .... Beta blocker also useful for reducing pressure ...
