What Does "wet Preparation Revealed The Presence Of 0-1/ Spermatozoa" Mean?

wet preparation revealed the presence of 0-1/ spermatozoa which were either non progressive and immotile forms. No active linear motility is seen. Please correlate this result clinically. the sperm count is so low that useful morphological assessment of the spermatozoa was not practical. what is that? DO WE HAVE A CHANCE to have a baby?

Hello and welcome to HCM,

For a male to be able to bear babies, semen parameters- semen volume, sperm count, sperm motility and sperm morphology should be within normal limits.
Semen volume should be atleast 1.5 ml, sperm counts should be atleast 20 million per ml, sperm motility should show atleast 40% sperms with progressive motion and atleast 50% sperms should have normal morphology.
The semen analysis shows a low semen volume, low sperm counts and no progressive motility.
These parameters are sub-normal.
It is not possible to bear children with this report.

Thanks and take care
