What Does Rapid Heart Rate, Dizziness And Nausea Indicate?
Hello, I am a 53 yr old male and I am just experiencing dizziness, spinning sensation, nausea, cold clammy skin. It just started a week ago all of a sudden. I do not have rapid heart rate and I do not take any medication. I woke up this morning and I could barely stand because the room was spinning. I also do not have any ear pain. Thoughts?
Hi. The symptoms in your case can be strongly attributed to low blood pressure or hypotension. This can be corrected with intake of adequate amount of fluids in the form of 3-4 liters of water a day.Increase the intake of salt to more than 6 gm/day.I advise you to have a baseline ecg and 2 dimensional echo to rule out organic heart disease.Drugs like midodrine can elevate the blood pressure.Consult your cardiologist for further queries. Thank you.
