What Does Rashes On Face With Dry Patch Suggest?

hi i have all the symptoms of lupus except the butterfly rash on the face though i do have a small dry patch on each cheek i also have a rash type of lumps on my palms that flare up every few months i have under active thyroid aswell. im constantly tired ive gone from a person that was active 20 hours a day given half a chance to someone that very rarely leaves the bedroom. im desperate for answers my doctor just treats the symptoms and i get no answers to the cause . could it be lupus

Hi Dear ,

As per your query you have rashes on face with dry patch . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like contact dermatitis , eczema , side effect of certain medicine , sum allergy and lupus as you mention in query . I would suggest you to avoid sun exposure , do not apply any cosmetic product on face , apply only petroleum jelly and apply cold compresses on face . Also take bendryl twice a day . Consult dermatologist for proper examination . Doctor may order complete blood count , erythrocyte sedimentation rate, kidney and liver function test , urinalysis and antinuclear antibody (ANA) test . Doctor may prescribe nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, antimalarial drugs , corticosteroids and immunosuppressants .
